DentiPath Finance Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 9, 2026. This policy explains how the DentiPath Finance™ app handles privacy. It supplements the general DentiPath privacy policy, which also applies.
Plain-language summary. This describes the current DentiPath Finance release. Finance is local-first and does not require an account. Calculator inputs, saved scenarios, optional tax-estimate settings, exports, and preferences are stored or generated on your device by default. The app does not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics SDKs. Optional iCloud sync, browser access, account-based features, diagnostics, and hosted suite features are not included in the current release. If a future version releases any of them, the feature will be separately explained before use, and the core local calculator experience will remain usable without it unless a specific product page clearly says otherwise.
1. Who we are
DentiPath Finance is built by Dentipath Technologies Inc., operating publicly as DentiPath, a Canadian software company. In this policy, “DentiPath,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Dentipath Technologies Inc. Contact: support@dentipath.ca.
2. Local storage and limited processing
Calculator inputs, saved scenarios, optional tax-estimate settings, and preferences are stored locally on your device by default. DentiPath does not receive those entries in the current app experience. Limited information may be processed by Apple for purchases, by iOS for permissions and device-level services you choose, and by DentiPath or service providers only if a future optional feature is released and clearly says it involves sync, support, diagnostics, browser access, or hosted processing.
Service notices. When you open or return to the app, DentiPath Finance may request a small file from dentipath.ca that lists occasional service notices (for example, an “update available” message). That request is not designed to include your entries, an account identifier, or an app-specific device identifier, and the connection stores no DentiPath cookies. If it fails, the app continues. The file is served by Cloudflare, which processes basic connection data such as your IP address to deliver and secure the request.
3. What you enter
The app is intended for professional financial inputs: production amounts, collection rates, split percentages, lab fees, costs, hours, loan and overhead assumptions, optional tax-estimate settings such as country, region, tax year, residency, other income, expenses, and tax already paid, and similar planning values. It is not a patient-record system. Do not enter patient-identifying information; the calculators are designed so none is needed.
4. Exports, saved images, and iOS permissions
If you choose to export or share, DentiPath Finance generates PDF, CSV, or summary image files on your device and shares them only through destinations you choose. If you choose Share > Save Image, the app writes a summary image to your device photo library using the iOS photo-add permission you grant. In the current version, the app does not read your photo library or transmit the saved image or export to DentiPath.
This optional Photo Library access used by Save Image is the only special permission the app requests. DentiPath Finance does not request access to your camera, microphone, location, contacts, or similar device data.
5. Shared on-device preferences
DentiPath Finance, DentiPath Ledger, and DentiPath Launch can share a few non-identifying defaults (such as currency notation, collection rate, associate split, and card theme) when installed on the same device, through an Apple App Group container. In the current version, this preference sharing occurs locally on that device and does not transmit those preferences to DentiPath.
6. Purchases
The optional Finance Pro unlock is a one-time purchase processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles payment under its own terms; DentiPath does not receive your payment details, only aggregate, non-identifying sales reporting.
7. Deleting your data
Current app data is stored locally by default. Deleting the app deletes its local data. Backups you control, including an iCloud or computer backup of your device, may retain copies under Apple’s and your own settings.
8. Children
DentiPath Finance is intended for dental students and professionals and is not directed to children under 13. A user under the age of majority may use it only with a parent or legal guardian’s permission and supervision. See the general privacy policy for how to report information sent by a child.
9. Future suite features
Future suite features may allow Finance scenarios to be shared with DentiPath Ledger, DentiPath Launch, or a browser-based DentiPath service. Those features are not included in the current release. Any feature released later will be optional, clearly labelled, and designed not to change the local-first default for users who do not enable it.
Optional sync, backup, account, browser, and hosted features are convenience features. Unless a specific product page says otherwise, the core app remains fully usable without enabling them.
10. Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the updated version is posted here with a new effective date. Questions: support@dentipath.ca. See also the general privacy policy, Terms of Use, and Disclaimer.
