Daily production target calculator
Work backward from an estimated pre-tax compensation goal to the production you need each day, week, and month, given your split, collection rate, lab fees, and schedule. It also shows the matching daily collections. Everything runs in your browser.
Enter decimals with a period. Commas can separate thousands.

Track your real daily and monthly production against this target in DentiPath Ledger.
How the target is built
Your estimated pre-tax compensation is your split applied to production after lab fees. To find the production you need, the calculator runs that in reverse: it divides your compensation goal by your effective pay rate, then spreads the result across your working days.
Take the default: a $200,000 estimated pre-tax compensation goal, a 40% split, an 8% lab assumption, four days a week for 46 weeks. The effective pay rate is 40% of 92%, about 36.8 cents per dollar produced, so you need roughly $543,000 of production a year. Across 184 working days, that is about $2,954 of production a day, or close to $2,806 collected a day at a 95% collection rate. Raise the lab assumption or lower the split and the daily target climbs.

Questions
Does this calculator send my numbers anywhere?
In the current version, calculations run locally in your browser. Values entered in this calculator are not transmitted to DentiPath, saved to an account, or used for advertising tracking.
Is the daily figure production or collections?
The headline figure is the production you need to bill per working day. The calculator also shows the matching daily collections, which is production times your collection rate.
How are lab fees treated?
The split is assumed to apply to production after lab fees. A higher lab assumption raises the production you need to reach the same estimated pre-tax compensation.
